How do you use a toothpick for nail art?

I tried using toothpicks, but they always seem to scrape off my french manicure... I put lots of paint on the toothpick but it never works (blotches appear). I put little paint on the toothpick and it scrapes the french manicure off. Help!How do you use a toothpick for nail art?

dont worry just take the toothpick and picka a design then take a middle amount of nail polish and make that design.

at my salon we use acrylic paints from craft stores to create cool designs. then use a clear top coat. sally's also has some nice striping paints. any washable acrylic paint should work.What is the best type of paint to use for nail art?

Some countries don't require you to have a license. I'd call your local cosmetology school and check.





You should get some professional training either way. Being a nail technician isn't just about doing nails. You have to know about diseases, treatments towards certain nail conditions, and proper disinfection.





If you practice without training and you cause someone to get a bacterial infection on their nail, they could sue you. If you receive proper training, not only will you decrease the chances of that happening, but you'll also be able to get insurance.





Also, if you don't have anything to prove that you are trained, you won't be able to get many high quality professional products (CND, Calgel, etc). Hi, I am a cosmetologist and it doesn't matter what brand you use. You do need to look and see if the box you buy is old though. Some stores will keep them for years before they put them on clearance and they are brittle and yellowing and will break very easily. KISS is my favorite brand if you wanted to know. Sure it's possible. It just depends on if the shop wants to hire a person just to do one thing. Maybe you could be willing to do pedicures as well.
